Office Safety and Cleaning Protocols

  • Only one client will be in the office at any given time. The door will be kept locked to prevent walk-ins.
  • Clients will be seen at the time of their appointment not before. The waiting room is closed.
  • The client must be wearing a mask to enter. The acupuncturist will also wear a mask. Masks must cover nose and mouth and must stay on for the duration of time in the office.
  • The acupuncturist will take the client’s temperature upon entering. Temperatures can vary for different people and during different times of day but the CDC says that anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher has a fever. Anyone in this office with a temperature of 100.00 or higher will be considered too high a risk for close personal contact such as required in a treatment room. Those clients will have to leave and their appointments will be rescheduled at a later date.
  • With a normal temperature the client will use hand sanitizer and be shown directly into the treatment room.
  • There is a “clean field” consisting of a small table and a chair where the client will leave their belongings. Clients will be instructed not to touch any other surfaces except for their clean field and the treatment table.
  • A 2nd clean field will be for the acupuncturist, not the client, and will include only clean items for use in the up-coming treatment. The acupuncturist will sanitize her hands before touching her clean field and before beginning the treatment and as often as needed.
  •  If the client needs to use the bathroom before the treatment, please let your acupuncturist know. The bathroom is kept locked so you’ll need the key which is cleaned after every use. The bathroom is also cleaned and sanitized after every use with a cleaning agent that is on the CDC list of products best for Covid-19.
  • The client will be in the office for 30-45 minutes.
  • After a client leaves the treatment room will be cleaned thoroughly with a cleaning agent that is on the CDC list of products best for Covid-19. Surfaces that will be cleaned will include but not be limited to all door handles, the treatment table, the chair and table, all instruments, light switches, and hand sanitizer dispensers.
  • The treatment room will be vacant and ventilated for at least one hour before another client will enter that room.
  • The acupuncturist will cancel and reschedule all appointments if she is at all unwell. She will take her temperature before every shift. If anyone in her household is sick she will cancel and reschedule all appointments.
